I'm too lazy to write up a long article about not drinking distilled water vs properly filtered water.

To those that know my background, just don't do it, more risk than any benefit.

To those that don't, filtered water from rain or spring sources has no fluoride and once has been sediment and UV sterilised is far healthier for you than distilled.

I haven't finished my medical qualifications yet, but if you want to drink only distilled water, be my guest, darwinism.

There are so many micro-nutrients in filtered water that you won't find in most diets, as they don't exist in soil surface, only deep underground. I'm not going to respond to any comments arguing on this one, as from the level of discussion I've seen currently, I don't feel the need to be involved.

From someone that has to know a lot about water to do his job properly, do you really want to be drinking plasticizers and increasing your estrogen?

Because distilled water will leach out plasticizers from its container, especially if left in sunlight.

Also distilled water eats it's container so if you don't mineralize it in a reasonable time you get plastic taste. If you mineralize it that process goes slower.

The key is that calcium carbonate and magnesium hydroxide don't disolve in water easily (minerals in water are disolved mineral). You have to mix a small amount of powder into seltzer water (carbonic acid) and then pour some of that as an additive into your distilled or reverse osmosed water.

Do one better. Boil water. Easier than distilling. No minerals are lost. And once boiling all of the gasses dissolved (like flouride and chlorine) are gone. Freezing works too so ice is also safe to use.
