I live in the UK. I've noticed the enormous amount of attention this fire has received with almost endless news reports and it's not sitting right with me; it all seems way over the top. Then today I noticed that newspapers were covering stories of the many survivors of the blaze - mostly immigrants. I'm wondering if this was a ruse to garner sympathy for the refugee cause as well as a housing issue.

Some of them think it was retalliation, retalliation for what you might ask...

I dunno but have we not seen the muslims burn their own buildings down in Europe, they think it will get them a mansion and maybe a bmw or something.

And what's the bet it's like Germany where's there's sweet diversity cash and grant for housing "refugees" and migrant. That's crack for shitty and sketchy landlords. In Germany they kicked out long term oldies, subdivided the existing spaces then shipped in a mass of muds. The government just threw money at them.

Those are council flats so there's no owner getting insurance but the government. It's typical government arrogance to believe they can make rules like "stay in your apartment". Right.
