What probability do you estimate for a Russian invasion of the US before January 1, 2016?

samtrovaum

Russia can't invade a country they are already living in. Russia will just come in to pick up the pieces. I'll give it a 70% chance they'll move in before the year ends.

JoshuaZ

Ok. Do you want to make a bet on that? How about if Russia doesn't move into the US before January 1, 2016, you pay me $25, and if they do, I pay you 30 Euros, $30, or 1500 rubles whichever you prefer (in case the US dollar is no longer an operating currency). Interested?

Jade helm is sketchy at best, and we should keep our eyes open, but I simply dont believe russia has the weight to throw around. Red Dawn was a good movie, but we don't have anything they need. They would jump at the chance to wipe us off the map, but a land-war would leave RU spread thin and wide open to attack by one of US's allies.

I also seriously doubt the vast majority of US armed services would go along with a martial law plan. The only way it could work is over the course of years. Jade helm is going on to meter the US's reaction to ominous events, so they can better prepare for an event where they actually impose martial law (imo).

From speaking with friends in AZ who have seen stingray vans at walmart, UN vehicles and unmarked government vehicles following them, I'm quite curious to hear what other people are seeing. Even here in the midwest, I've been noticing more unmarked US Govt vehicles than we've ever had in my town.

samtrovaum

You have no way to backup any of what you're saying, do you?

BeerBaron

I used to live up near Ft Drum, so I've seen these sorts of exercises before- pretty cool to watch when anything happened close enough to see.

Not to be 'that guy', but could you clear up some of those abbreviations you used? I'm only familiar with MP, and dickhead LT. Everyone, enlisted or not, knows one of those.

The only way anything is going to get messy, is if some crazy red necks try to have a gun fight over their imagined take over, shit will get real messy.

That's what I'm most afraid about. I can totally see a wall of armed guys (like the Bundy Ranch) standing there watching y'all do your drills, then one of them gets heat stroke, pops off a shot as they pass out because of a lack of decent trigger discipline, the wall thinks their buddy was just shot and then shit just goes to hell.

EDIT: Formatting. Rassin' frassin' page breaks not doing their breaking thing.

I asked the OP for a link to ref the "Planned Russian Invasion of the US is Revealed" comments, this is what he linked me :

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/07/06/officials-us-jets-scramble-to-intercept-russian-bombers-off-california-alaska/

a story about a Bomber flying near the US.

samtrovaum

Oh look children, the blind idiot is trying for character assassination. Still haven't found your crayons, kid?

sadam029

Am I missing something or is that what you linked to as proof? Because I read both of you recent comments, and it seems like k_digi isn't making anything up. Is that foxnews link what you are basing the "planned russian invasion of the us" on?

COUSCOUS

Planned Russian invasion of the U.s>??? wuuuut? Wasn't there a game about that?

BeerBaron

But I will tell you right now, no one i'm serving with is in the business of robbing everyday americans of their rights, that part is silly.

Are you actually involved in JH operations or just enlisted and saying you know good people? From reading it looks like you're actually involved? Do you have any idea what sort of training you're doing? Fearmongoring paranoia aside, I'm just genuinely curious. Friend of a friend sorta thing says all he knows about is doing crisis response drills. Just curious if you're doing the same or something else.

samtrovaum

The military doesn't escalate the way it's doing so we can ignore it. I'd rather do both than ignore one in favor of the other.

k_digi

No defecation on the keyboard but can you link here where the Russians are involved it just seems unlikely, however I dont discount in the event of a USSA breakup if individual states ask for aid from other nations that could happen, that would be the only conceivable way I could see Russian nationals on the ground in a formal capacity.

And in that case id say they would be at the request of the individual state and under some sort of "aid" mandate otherwise there is no point, do you understand there is actually no point for Russia to "invade" the USSA.

samtrovaum

The way you didn't cite any part of the article that answers your questions tells me your doubt-driven speculation and skepticism has not clicked the link. Go for it.

k_digi

Well I will click it, it's just not a huge priority as I rate that possibility as very low in a probability set, and I'm probably going to have to troll though pages of text to find a vauge quote from a "retired military spokesman".

If you aksed me to link you to a specific of anything I post im happy to do that for you.

Im not saying JH is not happening or even in the way you might think im saying I don't see foreign troops in offical capacity on the ground.

As stated if the USSA breaks up, different probability set.

k_digi

sorry to laugh but some bombers flew near the USSA , where is there any relevance here to the story? i mean what are you trying to say?

samtrovaum

Sorry, I left my Crayons back in kindergarden. Maybe when you graduate 3rd grade you'll learn to connect dots.

k_digi

ha ha, that's the single weakest argument in the history of "dot connecting" in fact you are at risk of looking "Alex Jones" like with "disinfo" but OK no worries yeah, i take it all on-board. Russia "could" invade the US even though that makes zero sense, but if you believe it i support your opportunity to spread your opinion.

samtrovaum

Go whine for someone who cares for your ignorance. No one cares.
