An example of propaganda in mainstream media from 1952 regarding the Korean War ( conspiracy )

submitted 2017-08-14T22:48 by salvia_d

From the 1930’s to the 1950’s comic books were extremely prevalent in our society. Millions of copies of single issues would be printed and distributed and were available on newsstands for anyone to buy and read. It wasn’t like today where comic books have been relegated to specialty shops.

Because of their wide distribution and influence they were one of the main forces for the dissemination of government (and corporate) propaganda, and war was one of the main themes.

I’m a comic book collector as you can tell. One thing I have been doing over the last few years is creating videos, reading and sharing some of the books in my collection in an ASMR format and posting them on youtube, and I just came across a comic which is exactly what the title of this post states, government propaganda in support of the Korean War. The comic is called “U.S. Tank Commandos #1” from 1952.

  • Here is a link where you can read it online for free , it’s in the public domain.

  • And if you’re into nice chill ASMR video, Here is my reading of it . First story begin after the intro at 18:00.

Happy reading.
