Ha ha, here's another divide & conquer lie:

Galvanized_Dreamer

A conspiracy theory I can get behind. F- 'em both.

knightwarrior41

remember nazism and communists are kissing cousins so much so that at one point hitler cooperated with stalin in the non aggression pact even before the war i believe

Calgacus

The pact was more of a tactic to stall hostilities as they both had plans to take parts of Poland. They were though destined to be enemies as the Bolsheviks were led by Jews.

knightwarrior41

both are totalitarian ways of goverment

Calgacus

Yes. In that way they are kissin' cousins. The question is, which is George Michael and which is Maeby??

knightwarrior41

haha good analogy

kamtsa

Very well said.

We are not limited to these two bad options, both enemies of the US.

Men13

Indeed. The US could be... gasp! A Capitalist Free country! The complete opposite of both of these!

kamtsa

And the US beat up both of them. The nazis collapsed very fast. The communists took more time, some still kicking around.

Dkeere

And as long as you fall into the 'moderate' camp you will be manipulated by their game. Escalate to the point where they cannot control it anymore.

10187867?

There's more than one dimension to things. One need not be a moderate to oppose two dichotomized sides.

Dkeere

Exactly. You can be so far right that marching around with signs looks like moderation, when there really needs to be ropes.

Runaway-White-Slave

While true on some levels, Godless Commies can still go to hell and my feelings wouldn't be hurt at all. As far as the Nazis, at least they aren't Commies....

ReddittRefugee

Ahhh . . . here's what you're missing.

Communists describe themselves as "International Socialists"

Nazis describe themselves as "National Socialists"

Both are socialists (where people are subservient to the all-powerful state) just different branding.

HarlandKornfeld14

Nazi=Nazbol fallacy is easy to debunk. The government of the Third Reich purged the Strasserists who wanted land redistribution and nationalized industry in the Knight of the Long Knives. Even the Strasserists were only in favor of going after larger estates, whereas Stalin got rid of the New Economic Policy and attacked small landholders.
