False accusations of abuse are a serious problem. Sometimes rights and due process are overlooked in our zeal to protect children. This failing of our justice system is often-abused by parents who want to wrest custody during a divorce. Young children can easily be coached to say just about anything a parent wants. Once you've been on the receiving end of a false accusation of abuse by a woman or child, you'll understand the other side of this problem. It's incredibly important to preserve the rights of the accused and require physical evidence of abuse, not just hearsay testimony.

... I'm not familiar with this case. The couple may really be Satanic abusers and have just been done a solid by their Satanist buddies in government. This is just a general statement about requiring evidence.

Okay hold on, let me play devil's advocate, bc this may go the other way as well. What if these people really were wrongly convicted using planted evidence, in an effort to discredit the "satanic panic" that was happening in those days? The article said he served 21 years, that puts him as going to jail around 1986 or so. That's exactly the same time Michael Aquino started getting accused of satanically raping and torturing children. This couple could've been set up to take the light off of Aquino, and when their case eventually fell through, it would make the other satanic claims seem questionable. What do you think?
