The red white and blue colors on many world flags seem to have something to do with a tradition/culture/knowledge that has been lost to time, at least for the ill-informed "masses."

The Druids wore robes which were red, white, and blue. The Phrygian cap which became the symbol of liberty during the French Revolution were also red, white, and blue, and date back to ancient Greece. The common denominator between the Greeks and Druids is the Indo-European culture and religious activities that preceded Christianity and had more in common with modern Hinduism than the Judaic religions.

Even the Koreans and Japan have some very remote link to this culture, although they have since been awash in Chinese immigrants for a long time, and the core Chinese culture seems to have evolved separately than that of the Indo-European peoples.

Thanks a lot. Very informative.

Flags represent values and history, not necessarily aesthetics. Claiming that Cuba is more developed intellectually than USSR is questionable.

BTW, I like the aesthetic of this flag the most (and the struggle of its people for freedom) http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/flags/countrys/zzzflags/pllarge.gif

Do you have ADHD? I said the elite, not scientists.

Well, saying that the cuban elite was more intellectually developed than the USSR elite is a double stretch.

Don't try to fit the facts to your preconceived notion. That's for morons. Go when the fact take you, that is, that your hypothesis has clear counter example and since your sample size is very small anyway, those counter example put your hypothesis in doubt.

Nice research attempt though.

Edit: just realized that it's conspirologist@ , oh well, he has a pattern of posting unsubstantiated claims, such as a correlation between male IQ and female breast size.
