Those cameras do not record. There is no database of those images. Those cameras are merely to create the impression that you are bring closely monitored at the self checkout. Psychology. I know. I install and maintain them

I was an avid Wal-Mart shopper until about a year ago when i started working with my Chief Steward.He is anti Wal-Mart,and now has me "woke".Very few alternatives,but Wal-Mart is by far the worst when it comes to using the taxpayer to help subsidize there employees.

This associates your face with your payment card. Now they have your name to go with your face. Surveillance cameras looking over the store can't identify you. I like to pay in cash at any of these, and many stores use them. Cash is anonymous.

The time stamp of the recording combined with the card you're using. As data is collected, it will be filed into a database and if the face target-points do not match your previous history images, it could be flagged as "not you."
