Luckily this one is a self-disproved cospiracy. Assuming that Plutonium could do nuclar fusion (which it can't, light elements fuse, heavy elements do fission, much more energetically favorable) the increase in thermal pressure created by the heat of fusion would saturn, making it simply shut off.

This is very simple to see with no need of math whatsoever, Saturn is now in equilibrium between its gravity and its internal pressure, if the internal pressure increases, it will overcome gravity and infate the planet until the fusion reaction stops and equilibrium is restored or the gas dissipates harmlessly into space (assuming the fusion energy was enough to exceed Saturn's escape veocity).
