I definitely noticed the fact that this literally took place at the foot of the Luxor pyramid. I think it will take some time to figure out where the holes are, if there are any, in this story, but it smells like high-level shenanigans, based on the location as well as the fact that all was seemingly known within a few hours of the incident. I can't easily find it now, but earlier today I saw a statement from the spokesman/officer who said that the investigation in the room was already finished. Seems pretty quick. I am not a police officer, but I would think that a crime scene like that would take many days to properly process in order to ascertain the means by which a single person carried out such a crime. I am immediately skeptical of these quick "lone-wolf" declarations. But who knows. Also, all the late-nite comedy guys are on exactly the same talking point: When is the time to talk about gun control? I am not against reasonable gun control, but I AM nervous about the US government, who is untrustworthy at best, having all the firepower in this country.
