As is stands right now I can maybe accept adrenalin kept him shooting so long, but the casing in photos seem too few. What were odds with 20,000+ people corralled in a confined space with only 59 killed? Was the "window" that limited-trajectory of the shots? I believe initially the LVMPD were under impression that it was another active shooter drill but one that extends to cover incident management and working with other agencies (FBI). I believe that they were told that because of criminal proceedings/procedures and whatnot, this is essential to train for as well. They think this is just like last year's drill but a step up.

The next step seems to be a push for detectors in a lot of private businesses that never had them before. The people who own those detectors will make a mint off of this. From there, this will become "normal", much like it did with airports after 9/11. For clarity, i mean increased "security".
