Is she in jail for refusing to vaccinate her son or in jail for violating the legal agreement that she had with her ex-husband? It is (or should be) a parent's right to refuse vaccinations. The child in question has TWO parents that need to come to an agreement on the matter.

Why can extreme god botherers deny blood transfusions and medical help for their children and all they get is a "It's their belief"? A lot of children have actually died and the parents were let off because of religion. Yet here is a woman whose child is still alive and healthy and all she's doing is not taking a chance with a lot of useless vaccinations, but because it's not religion based, she gets jail?

There is something very wrong here.

My reading of it is that she gets jail for breaching the written contract she has with the child’s father to vaccinate. I’m actually in agreement with her about the scheduling, but as far as the point of the article, it’s misleading. She was NOT jailed for failure to vaccinate, she was jailed for failure to meet her contractual obligation... seems the bottom line to me is be smart enough not to enter into contracts if you don’t intend to adhere to them...
