Except you'd think if they planned it they'd already have a coherent story ready to tell us... Can't help but wonder if a) this isn't a purposeful distraction or b) this is further evidence of the deep state in conflict with the trump admin - people on the inside working to dispel the invented narrative but being fought at every turn
