Shotspotter only gets set up in the ghettos where there is enough gunshots to actually make use of the technology. In nice areas it can pick up a gunshot but that will be the only fucking. Shot it hears all day!! That tech is useless unless it is actually able to hear the gunfire long enough that it can triangulate it

Shot spotter is good it saved a guys life in my area a few months ago. Shot spotter got a hit police respond immidieatly and accurately.

My theory has to do with the election voting areas.. Rural v Urban with the urban representing maybe a castle or defense place where politicians feel safe(r). Shotspotter is like a last line of defense for them. Say if a crazy alt right ever decides to snipe a politician, yes, they will lose that one person, but the shooter is immediately found and made an example out of, helping protect the rest of the them in the future (not to mention furthering their agenda). I think if people widely have access to suppressors, the use of said devices may fuck up the shot spotting ability of the shotspotter. Maybe this is why they are going crazy about first, suppressors and now bumpstocks, as a way to ease into that idea.
