After the loss of the Gore/Lieberman ticket the vitriol against Bush as intense as what we are seeing against Trump. Although many tried to keep the manufactured outrage going 9/11 pretty much gutted that narrative.

We will not see any such "relief" during the Trump administration because the Deep State hates him.
