Perhaps the Kill-Switch is already in place and unwanted hackers have infiltrated and accessed it.

darkrxn

That would be genius. If people who didn't want a kill switch detonated it prematurely or if people who just want to watch the world burn detonated it early and either way the public was forced to acknowledge it's existence.

I always assume that increase in really obvious and outrageous conspiracies means that certain powerful people know their time is up and they're starting to panic :)

VargasKillsSabin

This unfortunately seems to be the case. Let's hope people continue to give a shit about this place and stand up for internet freedoms.

drbarke

It would surely seem that way. There always needs to be preceding events that justify the insane decisions made. Am I right or am I right?

samtrovaum

Right...which masonic corporate controlled source do you suggest, friend?

I can't see myself believing some 'hacking team' is taking down stock exchanges.

god404d

It's not a "hacking team" he was referring to a major leak from a company called Hacking Team. The leak potentially included a lot of unknown or lesser known exploits. As well as information about their business dealings. .

jervybingly

If it's not in the media, or very little, like hacking team, then that's what you've got to watch out for.

god404d

Yeah definitely. If people actually knew the real extent of cyber attacks it would probably become the hottest topic in the media. Major push towards improving security, and definitely a push back against this FBI anti-encryption agenda.

jervybingly

Tell me about it. I got hacked twice in the last year, not because I have dark secrets on my computers but probably because of something I said about a certain interest group. It's best to think of the phrase Internet security as a contradiction in terms.

Super-Script

the NSA tracks everything you do on the internet, it has real time access to your credit card account, knows exactly where you are through your smartphone. "hacking team taking down the stock exchange isn't too hard to fathom.
