But the extra weight in the face in such a short amount of time is impossible. Your body doesn't add fat to the face quickly like you belly or ass, but slowly over time. Its why it takes years to get a double chin, or fat face look.

I don't believe this, but just to play extreme Devil's advocate regarding the weight gain...where was he allegedly in hiding for that week? Here's a scenario that explains the weight gain which doesn't necessarily indicate any conspiracy other than MGM wanting him to keep quiet to not give families more ammunition for lawsuits.

Let's pretend that Campos is a real person, there's no conspiracy other than the hotel fucking up security and wanting to avoid lawsuits, and that MGM gave him a free vacation package somewhere as part of his payoff. Maybe all of his room service, buffets, etc are COMPED and he's basically forced to lay low in a hotel somewhere for that week so he couldn't do anything but eat. If Campos thinks he's going to get some kind of big payoff to keep quiet about hotel security fuckups (who knows, maybe enough to retire off of) it's hypothetically possible for somebody to go on a binge eating spree and not give a fuck for a week and gain a couple of pounds a day. Depending on your genetics, maybe you store a bit more fat in your face than other people and combined with sitting position (hunched over) and different lighting your appearance could visibly change in just 1 week.

How hypothetically possible is this scenario? It's a stretch, but at least there's some kind of explanation. Nobody in the media will press this, but there's at least some randomly plausible scenario that they could run with if they wanted to.
