I think he shot himself as a plan of escape to avoid confrontation with the police. Play the victim. It's a very old FBI trick. He could be a shooter hence why he was refraining from going on the media. He's not registered with any security agency so therefore he shouldn't have been there. Mandalay bay is in on it too.

Here's my theory on Campos. He did get hit in the leg but YEARS ago in some other compacity. He is undercover with some letter agency working to get cartel gun runners. That's why MGM allowed him and others to pose as security guards for the sting. Shit went south. MGM is trying to use him now to cya with liability. His "union" are also liars. Vegas security guards are not unionized..yet

OK how about this. Paddock was clearly laundering a great deal of money. He also has a history of gun purchases. He is selling guns to the drug cartels. The FBI finds out and flips him. During a buy, the cartel figures out that Paddock is setting them up, and they kill him with a plant piece they carry around for that type stuff.

One of the guys with the cartel is Campos. Campos facilitates deals by working in security at casinos. Campos is an illegal alien but hey, cheap labor is cheap labor. Campos and the rest of his team create a diversion by shooting the festival that is going on so that they all can escape. Clumsy Campos shoots himself in the leg. He isn't a cartel hit man, he's an arms deal facilitator.. he isn't trained for the wet work. But, he can't run anymore, so his buddies leave him.

Campos is arrested, and is now going to work with the FBI to get the cartel, but not without a deal. Campos goes to Mexico in a rental car, potentially to escape US justice (he figures his POV car license will get flagged at the border), then maybe realizes the cartel would find it easier to just kill him off than count on his secrecy.

This is actually not hard to believe at all. The culture similarities make sense.

Will it be up to Trump to disclose what is really going on here? Do you suppose he knows and is waiting for the corrupt FBI and CIA to commit to a story so they can't back out after they are exposed?

The most likely explanations is someone stuck a camera in an attention whores face and she did what attention whores do, lie for attention. At least that's the feeling I got from watching her.
