They delay meals and restrict bathroom breaks, and basically use every tactic in the Scientology manual to stress you while building you up with self-satisfying accomplishments and "levels".

Basically, they look for lonely under-accomplished women on the cusp or throes of menopause, and prey on the weak ones. I know someone who ended up reinventing her look to resemble the spokeswoman from totallynotrobots. They do it for the imagined self-satisfaction they would get if they had that job they are dressing for.
