What I'm wondering: if the whole purpose is to get to altitude and take a picture of the horizon to prove the earth is flat, why send a human up there? Why not just set the timer on the camera? Wouldn't it be about 50 times less cost and a hell of a lot safer? Moreover, wouldn't it be just as simple to climb a mountain 1800 feet higher than the surrounding terrain and do the same?
