I'm summarizing what's very likely on the documetary (and I'm blatantly stealing from an old you know where post), but it's fascinating to me that Kaczynski went into College as an idealistic, gung ho Patriot and left a broken human being (perspectively to his old self) with a radically different personality.

Public learning institutions has nothing to do about learning or understanding.

It has to do about dumbing down people into being like everybody else.

i hate to admit it, but i sort of agree with a lot of Ted's writings. i mean, he shouldn't have been killing and all, but his views on the world are sort of apt.

Then check out Technological Society by Jacques Ellul. That's where Kaczynski got a lot of his ideas, the difference being Ellul is a non-violent Anarchist.
