A strong suspicion I have about the MK ULTRA experiment Theodore Kazinsky was exposed to ( conspiracy )

We are all aware of the fact that the Unibomber was the subject of an experiment called MK ULTRA. They named him "lawful" and subjected him to some form of public humiliation that made him angry.

So, what were they trying to find out? What reaction did they hope for? It couldn't have been only to denounce his beliefs and end the experiment immediately, that doesn't make any sense. And why specifically seek out a lawful person for the subject, that had to be intentional.

I think they told him the truth.

The truth is that the deck is stacked, and that that is 100% intentional. They told him this, provided proof, and shouted down any dissent from him. The experiment was to see how a lawful person would react long-term to the knowledge that technology is being developed for the purpose of keeping the deck stacked, and there was nothing any individual could do about it, much less one who was a commensurate rule-follower.

This would explain his later actions, going off the grid, and attacking technology. He wanted to disrupt the certain future instead of contribute to it.

I could be way off here, I probably am, but I don't see another explanation. Why else would lawful be so mad? What else could make him unlawful?

They would need many data point because society is a spectrum of ways of thinking and perceiving the world. A decent sample size of random people would approximately guarantee info leakage and dissemination.

I think the periodic production of symbolic boogeymen and the reaction the public has to them is the primary utility explanation.

So you think they performed experiments on people without an expectation that they would get any results?

Did you even bother to read the man's manifesto before presuming why he did the things he did? Because he told you exactly why at great length.

I strongly recommend everyone read it, he is by no means 100% correct but he was an articulate and brilliant man.
