I had to read up on a few things today, and this is the conclusion I came to. The things he lied about happened before Trump was in office. Under the direction of Obama admin. And basically he's getting in trouble for lying to the FBI about not following procedure on a meeting at the UN that happened last Decemeber. This isn't what people who read headlines think it is. That being said, Trump might get some backlash for HOW he handled speaking with foreign contacts, as there are rules in place.
