The USA government should spend less. The USA could save a lot of money by quitting NATO and let the Europeans worry about Europe. Because of the moral depravity of the Europeans and the Islamization of Europe, a Russian invasion would be a good thing.

lemon11

This is indeed one of the largest wealth transfers to the top 5% of the country.

Correct. Taxation is theft, so why oppose less taxation?

salvia_d

But from what's come out so far, it's only less taxation for the 5%. Taxes will be going up for others, especially those running smaller operations.

Gowdy

Define this statement

especially those running smaller operations.

lemon11

Support your argument. The talking heads say

The number I saw from the Tax Policy Center was 80% of the benefits go to the top 1%

You know, if all income tax were repealed, you could say that 84% of the "benefits" of that would go to the top 20%. And then they rely on projections of future increases, which are out of scope, but they doesn't bother them because spending is moral and taking is moral, but not taking is not moral, to them.

Maybe if you weren't so covetous, you'd stop lying.

lemon11

If that were true, then the article would be baldly lying.

Gowdy

It's creative math. All tax brackets are paying less. They want you to be mad corporations and the wealthy are paying less... while you're paying less.

Gowdy

Half this country doesn't pay taxes. The other half will be paying less across all brackets. Go fuck yourself and stop whining about "tax breaks for the rich". I'm not fucking rich and I'll be paying less in taxes.

salvia_d

How do you know? Have you read the 500 pages?

Gowdy

No, I've read the 400 some pages. Where do you get your fictitious numbers from?

salvia_d

ps. Just in case you actually want to know what's in it:

"In Major Victory For Trump, Senate Passes "Sweeping" Tax Bill Which Nobody Read: Here's What's In It" http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-12-02/major-victory-trump-senate-passes-tax-cut-bill-which-nobody-read-heres-whats-it

Gowdy

Oh no! They slashed the corporate tax rate "permanently" (kek) but my tax cuts are only good till 2025. It's still less than I paid last time. Go pay taxes. Less is always better than more.

salvia_d

But taxes will be going up for certain people, especially those not in the top 5%. How is that less taxes for everyone?

And by the way, I agree, taxation is theft, I would just like to see it balanced out, not just the middle class paying all the taxes.

Gowdy

Prove that. You're just repeating fake talking points w/o actually referencing the actual bill.

salvia_d

The full bill was just released last night. I'm pretty sure no one here has read it. I'm just amazed that everyone here is saying it's a good thing based on talking points from certain people. For fuck's sake. How is it possible that people still believe either side. What a joke.

Gowdy

So you're referring to the addendum that repeals the Johnson Amendment? Is that what you're talking about?

salvia_d

No. My point is that barely anyone has read this but it passed. How is that possible? My point is, as i stated, How is it possible that people still believe either side.

Gowdy

Do sides ever matter? We've got take my guns and don't take my guns. Let's have a hypothetical exercise assuming claims are true. There's Roy Moore. Denies everything so be it, and we have a democrat gun grabber. I'd rather elect the degenerate that leaves me alone than the faggot that wants to steal away my rights. Democrats and their platforms are literally that awful.

salvia_d

Figured it was worth a round up since it's 479 pages. You know, math.

And if you're read it, then you must have been worked towards putting it together since from what I understand it was only released yesterday.

Gowdy

You figured it was worth overstating b/c it suits your agenda. You mean the 429 pages that was released last month right?

https://waysandmeansforms.house.gov/uploadedfiles/bill_text.pdf

salvia_d

The final bill was released last night:

"479 pages were handed to us," Durbin said. "They tell us that some of this has been around for awhile. Some of it's new. They don't tell us which part is new and which part is old," he complained, before picking up a specific page of the legislative text where a staffer had scrawled provisions in cursive.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/01/politics/senate-vote-still-writing-tax-bill/index.html

Gowdy

Link the actual bill and not your fake news site.

salvia_d

Dude, it's 479 pages, you can read it here: https://www.vox.com/2017/12/1/16724800/senate-tax-bill-text

Gowdy

I provided a .gov site. You provided vox... Let's just place less words per page and increase it by precisely 50?

salvia_d

that's the gov link from a month ago, additional material was added. How is that so hard to understand.

Gowdy

Highlight precisely what was added.

salvia_d

That's the point as the quote i provided:

"They don't tell us which part is new and which part is old,"

Good luck reading the whole thing again.

Gowdy

I actually know precisely what is new and it's not related to taxes. At least not the "meat" of the bill. I magically knew this 3 days ago on your bill that was "just released yesterday".

https://voat.co/v/OccidentalEnclave/2266332

salvia_d

Cool, good to know it was available somewhere. I wonder how many of the 300 million plus Americans have read a word of any of it. Crazy system we live in.

lemon11

None. How many believe that the corporate income tax rate isn't money-grubbing double taxation? Most of them. This article plays on that greed with insinuation and lies. They're exactly what they pretend to complain about.

Gowdy

I pay x amount of dollars less each year compared to earlier years until 2025... It's a win for everyone that pays taxes.
