As to the ballistic missiles - there are many variants of scud type missiles that are commonly used throughout this region, at least for the past thirty years - there is nothing new, nor advanced about them. Any idiot with the right amount of money or influence can obtain them.

As to their nuclear delivery capacity - well, nukes can also be delivered in a car or mini van, so that argument has little merit these days.

Are the missiles harmful? - yes. Considerable destruction has already been done to Saudi infrastructure via direct hits from these missiles - and while the Royal Palace and international airport may have anti ballistic missile defenses, there are also many other valuable targets in the country that do not. The Yemeni use of these missiles vrs Saudi Arabia is not new - they are fired with regularity.

Ballistic missiles are the poor man's reply to a lack of an available airforce. Saudi Arabia attacks civilian targets - in part because it cannot find the Yemeni military forces, and when it does it usually loses the fight. Consider, if you will, that Saudi Arabia has actual facilities that are worth targeting - while there is little to any legitimate military infrastructure in Yemen to be targeted in the first place. Half of the Yemeni forces do not even have shoes.

Is Iran involved? Of course they are - just as Saudi Arabia is involved in the fighting in Syria. The fighting in Yemen is now another front in an indirect Saudi vrs Iran conflict - though it may not have started out that way.

Muslims killing each other - there is nothing new in that.
