He originally requested a room ending in 235.

Paddock knew the hotel, so he was asking for a corner room that overlooked the quieter back area of the hotel where the swimming pools were, instead of a room on the front that overlooked the noisy streets and concert grounds, as well as the airport in the distance.

The hotel gave him a room 235, that didn't even overlook the concert, but a little while before he checked in, his room was changed on the hotel computer system to room 32-135.

It's well known that Paddock was a long-term CIA operative, and it's been conclusively established that Paddock, or someone, had set the room up for what Paddock thought was a controlled buy of guns.

What this changing of rooms behind Paddock's back implies is: that Paddock was being duped. He thought he was on a mission to make a sale of weapons, but someone higher up wanted him in the room he ended up in, so that the real mission could take place, with Paddock being killed, and publicized as the "Lone Gunman" these guys always set up as a patsy.
