money stays in their pockets, don't even spend on italian materials anymore.

they isolate THEMSELVES as motive to create divisive marketing practices and keeping money out of the system.

That was a consideration. However, the worldview where that is the fiction is a delusional fantasy world dreamt up by people only slightly better informed than the average 3 year old. Perhaps very intelligent, but so baffled by the world around them that they made up reasons for anything they could not explain and assigned mystical causes to those events.Eclipses, earthquakes, bad storms, the seasons, the stars, sickness, etc.
