Um, Islam is an Abrahamic faith (look it up if you don't know what that means). Muslims believe in the same God as the Jews and Christians believe in and also follow the Old Testament rules. Where do you think the idea of cutting off the hands of thieves and killing adulterers comes from?

I'll break it down for you (in a simplified way because it would take too long to get detailed). Old Testment only = Jew. Old Testament (minus the eye for an eye and stoning adulterers to death and kosher food rules) + New Testament = Christian. Old Testament (even the food stuff, halal = kosher) + New Testament (partly -- they believe in the virgin birth, Jesus was a prophet preaching God's word, reject the concept of the trinity, don't believe in the resurrection) + Quran = Muslim.
