Yeah, the more I read about these water shenanigans, the happier I am with my little farmette - with a well......

I've lived in the country so long, I forget how many people out there are forced to use tap or bottled water.

Btw, to the poster talking about a copper bottle - why is that better than stainless? Peace.

Copper is naturally antimicrobial.

Blatantly stolen off Google: Recent studies have shown that copper alloy surfaces kill E. coli O157:H7. Over 99.9% of E. coli microbes are killed after just 1–2 hours on copper. On stainless steel surfaces, the microbes can survive for weeks. ...

You shouldn't buy bottled water anyway.

It's over priced tap water that they buy for a few pennies and sell back to you for a massive mark up.

Not to mention the plastic bottles they use release plastic into the water.

Buy a reverse osmosis water filter and a few reusable metal bottles if you need portable water.

copper specifically if possible

Any benefits of copper over steel?

Copper has antimicrobial properties, most bacteria are destroyed when they contact it. so it keeps your water fresher and could even help with dirty water in a survival situation.

Not only does it not quite taste like Aquafina, but I was able to hunt down the cap manufacturer... Only to discover this sort of thing is all too easy to do. Buy a new, sealed cap, replace whatever beverage contents you want and slap on the new, sealed cap. And it would mostly affect people who buy bottled water. (wealthier white people) Call me paranoid, but what's to stop tampering if you can just replace the whole cap?! I understand it's a paltry and incomplete security measure in the first place... So how can I be sure this is really what I intended to buy?! Fuck, I'm switching to canned beverages. Fuckin' worst future ever. Can't even buy bottled water and not be paranoid about its purity.
