Just posed this to politics. Basically, the power struggle going on is against a very entrenched power structure that wants him out of office. Their main weapon is impeachment, but it cannot be used because there are not enough controlled congressmen. One of Trumps options is war. War is always a quick way to avoid problems with power. It's also probably why he hired Bolton.

The sad part is that its simply the nature of power , and because the general population is not smart enough to know when they have a president working in their best interests, his support base will be limited.

I wish people were either wise about how power works to make it difficult for evil to trick us, or that they shun power institutions altogether.

They won't. They're going to use it to start more wars overseas and then they will come running back crying, asking for more money so that they can 'win' the war. It's a cyclical scam.
