I can't help but feel she's just the scapegoat of a failed experiment.

I's a dog and pony show to just make the users believe that the admins actually care, watch it will still be regulated the same way

Looks like Pao served her role as the interim CEO. People were supposed to hate her, so she could make changes the board wanted, that they knew users would hate. Then the white knight new CEO sweeps in to save the day and everyone is happy. They can continue Pao's mission to make the site a "safe place", so that should be fun. Stole this theory from that "place".

I predict that this post will be very popular.

I wonder who will take her place.

Reddit announcement here: https://www.reddit.com/r/announcements/comments/3cucye/an_old_team_at_reddit/

Steve Huffman new CEO, permanent this time. Steve's been with reddit form the beginning, so he's a true "Man of the people".

Still smells like they'll never reverse Ellens changes. They're just aiming at gaining reddits support before all the users disappear.

I have to say I did not think she would resign, especially due to pressure from the users. I think it is right and correct for her to resign, but I honestly felt she would dig in her heels.

It's a little too late for me though, I have made the decision to leave reddit and have Voat be my first and front page of the internet.

There was an /r/conspriacy post that predicted her resignation after some fundamental changes to the reddit infrastructure. Wonder if she changed much behind the scenes.
