He's gonna sell a bunch of books someday with a story like that

chealy

I am still going to try to come here more.

Just like the government - change the face so people think things will be different in future. She was just brought in to implement the changes they wanted and then be culled off.

Money matters

Green_Bay_Packers

Sure does, make the changes they want to bring in the advertising income/whatever and then cull her off. They knew there would be backlash, which is why she was made interim CEO.

COUSCOUS

Doesn't matter, Reddit will only ever be a shadow of it's former self. She killed something that was kind-of self aware. This with combined with her past, will hopefully make her unemployable in the future.

Honestly, all this burn the old place down shit is super cringy for me. Every time I see these posts that are trying hard not to mention Reddit like it's Voldermort make me take the post less serious. I think on this site we can be honest saying that the site was crashing before she was ever involved, she was just the nail in the coffin for most users. Can we move on on stop making posts about Reddit in general?

definitely agree with this, i mean c'mon we're not in 2nd grade anymore

AreWeHuman

Aparently reddit users are

Sciency

Reddit users are pissed because the place went from Arron Swarts' brainchild to 1984 in like 3 years. It's depressing, because if it happened to reddit, no website is safe from such an epidemic.

I almost get the feeling most of the reddit users that left are hoping to watch the platform that betrayed their trust, implode.

Also, voat has to be very careful not to mention reddit for legal reasons, and articles don't want to mention one or the other because reddit is either a sister company, or a competitors company. It's 100% about money and marketing.

DJexs

This doesn't really mean much. Almost all articles fail to mention the outlash about censorship. Not to mention not a single thing has changed. Everything she did is still there. There is still no transparency and tons of censorship site wide.

samtrovaum

Who cares?

X2mokupunimoonpurr

I honestly didn't see that coming. It'll be interesting to see who the next CEO is.

ddd

are people right that she's just a scapegoat?

Flesh_Mechanic

Usually interim CEOs are. But it's no secret that Reddits parent company is a huge media conglomerate. They want to monetize and censor the site.

You have to take the good with the bad when it comes to anonymity
