3 crystals? Wtf?

tossyokeys

Supposedly the man was a hunter and collector of rare rocks .

Sharipie

It's odd that you'd take them with you on a jog though....

tossyokeys

No doubt about that. The most obvious explanation would be that he was out collecting rocks, except Fox described these as "rare crystals," witch leads me to believe that he didn't just find them while out for a run.

Complete, baseless speculation: The guy was going to meet a guy (the attacker) who was selling some crystals. Checks out of work early, lies about feeling ill, because these are very rare crystals at a great price. He only brings the exact cash needed, and leaves everything else at home to avoid being robbed. Does the deal, gets ambushed in some way, then ends up dead in the river.

Sharipie

That would sound great IF we didn't know that this man had recently been warning people to not take the flu vaccine. That would be a big no-no for a CDC bigwig.

tossyokeys

I'm till looking for a source on his alleged flu comments. If you have one, I'll edit it into the post.

Gave the 'Russian neurotoxin' to the CIA that was used to poison Skripal. Offed him after the fact.

You can type in "Publish Date: [date]" on jewgle to filter out any results after the date you entered. Good way to search someone's past because when something big happens, all the news reports clog the search results

tossyokeys

If anyone knoews how to filter by date on any search engine, please inform me. Joogle used to have it in options but I guess they had cutbacks.

I believe google killed the date range function and replaced it with the "past X hours/days/months/years" option. If the default time spans don't cut it, you can refine this by adding the following to the end of the URL:

_&as_qdr=y11

The 11 represents the number of years to search back, and can be replaced with any other whole number up to 17 (everything older than 2001 just shows as being from 2001).

Most web search engines have a similar function, but I'm not aware of one that still has the range search built into the GUI. Unfortunately that's mostly reserved for academic engines like JSTOR, and they only catalog certain documents.

Damn, such a shame. You could find very interesting articles about one of the younger Rothschilds if you searched for articles before 2000.

Atarian

Boy, was she nervous

tossyokeys

How many times did she try to walk off before being done? Like three?

I totally get that speaking in front of the press is a nerve-wracking and potentially career-ending activity, but this is a medical examiner in Atlanta. I feel like they've probably had to talk to the public about murders before.

Atarian

Yeah, exactly.

I deliberately avoided making any judgements in my observation, but you would imagine she'd done press conferences like this many times before.

That could be a "GET THIS WRONG AND WE SUICIDE YOU AND YOUR WHOLE FAMILY, BITCH" face.

tossyokeys

Another moment like that was when O'Connor first made his "no evidence of foul play" comment. He then glances deliberately to his right, which seems kinda odd. Could be anything, but it seems like he was checking for approval or something like that.

Atarian

Kinda like the Sandy Hook Coroner...
