5GHz is really bad. I read an article about power companies swapping to 5GHz Smart Meters so that virtually every home could be deployed with these, causing a shit ton of issues across the whole continent.

I know 5GHz is recommended for some devices, for example some of my streaming devices work best in 5GHz environments but I don't have 5GHz as I know it's really bad.. There are even cases where plants won't live because of the wifi radiation.

IoT is a very big thing gaining a lot of traction. In stores there will be more wifi radiation emitted, as even lamps are starting to become connected to the grid. A/C unit controls will be connected to the grid (Hardee fast food places for example is making a big push towards this, so they can control all their stores from one location)
