A lot of people in this thread have cognitive dissonance. There's already an overwhelming amount of scientific evidence of harm, but the wireless gadgets are just too addictive to admit any problems.

Nobody gives a fuck about what NPR thinks about anything because those motherfuckers have cried wolf about everything since their Inception and they are trash and worthless and a mockery of new Services all over the planet

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me.

You get dosed with worse from Cigarettes and Microwave ovens.

Seriously. Not only that but let's just take the Microwave oven for an example. Take a couple of hot pockets or french bread pizzas or something. Microwave one, bake the other for whatever time and temp it calls for. Once they're done, take a taste of both when it's safe. The one that came from your oven is going to taste way better. The other one...not so much.

I talked about this with a guy once and I have to agree with @ZenAtheist on this one when the call is for evidence and what did I get? "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence."

My response, "Yeah try that one in a court of law because that's where it will go and when someone sues a cellphone manufacturer or company or both, that is exactly what they're going to need in order to get anything started."

ZenAtheist

Ok. They once said that cigarettes and asbestos and leaded gasoline were safe - but they couldn't hide the effects over more than a few decades because they become very pronounced. You can't hide deaths very easily.

And that's the thing - when a common thing actually poisons humans, we find out about it at least in a few decades. And we've had radio and microwaves for a long time now. In fact, if you turn on a radio and tune it to where there is no channel, you get static - which is all the fucking natural radio waves that have been bombarding the universe ever since it formed.

Look, windmills don't cause "headache syndrome" or whatever the fuck they're calling it these days; and cell phones and wifi don't cause cancer. I'm willing to accept that they do, but only with evidence. And we would see that evidence clearly by now.

qwop

all the fucking natural radio waves that have been bombarding the universe ever since it formed.

Sorry, but this shows your complete lack of understanding of this subject.

The natural microwave background radiation at the earth's surface is less than 0.000001 μW/m2. That's microwatts per square meter.

In contrast, ICNIRP, the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, has specified the safe limit for cell phone microwave radiation to be 10000000 µW/m2.

That's a difference in power of a 10 with 12 zeroes following it. Or in plain english:

The current safety levels are set to 10 billion times the natural background radiation .

So don't go deluding yourself thinking it's "natural". These safety standards have nothing natural in them, not even close.

Then we come to the issue of cancer. As I've tried to explain before in these conversations, is the false notion that cancer is the only measure of health effects.

If you think cancer is the only thing that matters, you really have no idea what it means to have health. Microwave radiation damages the body on a biochemical cellular level. If you get cancer, it only means you tortured your cells long enough to break down completely.

Between health and cancer you have a wide range of diseases, transient ailments, or chronic diseases, that all effect your daily performance and well-being.

Can't sleep at night? Insomnia? Headaches? Difficulty concentrating? Stiff neck? Sore muscles? Irritable bowel syndrome? Chemical hypersensitivity? Lowered IQ? Difficulty concentrating? ADHD? Brain fog? High incidence of infections? Immune dysfunction? Back pain? Skin problems? Rashes? Ringing in the ears? Vision problems? Infertility?

If you think lack of cancer is the only measure of health, you're completely ignorant of human physiology and biochemistry.

And then, if you think something that is 10 billion times natural background does not affect any of this, you've just been sold the fairy tale from the cellular industry. Welcome to the matrix.

So feels before reals? You feel like the cell phones cause cancer etc so they must, even though you have 0 evidence? I mean you are still arguing that radio is harmful, but you have 0 proof just a bunch of bullshit.

Conclusion of this study is that EMF @ 900MHz did affect the hormone levels in rats... Decreased them. Gosh you insufferable idiots on this thread need to learn to read actual scholastic articles.

And more https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1383571805000896

I found that all within 3 pages by searching for EMF rats on google scholar. Skipped half of them because they were very technical, but reached similar conclusions. Go ahead, read about how these scientists 'feel' about their conclusions.

You know what you didn't link though? A single case of this affecting a person. Not one, because it doesn't fucking exist. You people are such sjw faggots it's unreal.

Here's a list of research papers, with RF radiation directly affecting living people:
https://smartmeterharm.org/2017/04/10/olle-johansson-research-showing-remarkable-changes-in-the-skin-and-other-effects-from-emf-and-rf/

Yes, actual tests done on living people with skin biopsies showing mast cell activation from RF radiation.

But does it really matter to you anyway? I don't mind if you believe it or not. At this point I think you're just trolling anyway. The problem exists whether you think so or not, and the truth will eventually be known to everyone in time.

You can believe in your personal fairy tales all you wish. I believe in independent science and their uninfluenced conclusions.

So you tell me, 0-evidence-boy, which of us is basing their opinions on feels.

ChrisG

The issue is in frequencies. Those frequencies could change the way other stable frequencies resonate, causing issues. That said, if everything is made of frequencies, and all frequencies have a weak point.

RoBatten

Fair enough. We've had broadcast TV and radio, and two-way radios for police and government for a long time now. These are all much more powerful than cellular radio waves . . .

archvile7

Right, especially since older cell phones and cellular technology in general weren't nearly as efficient as newer tech, using bigger antennas and TX'ing much higher levels of RF. Think back to portable cell phones in the 80's. We'd know something by now for sure.
