This is one of my all time favorite conspiracy theories. I want to believe but I've looked and looked and looked for evidence. Even bought Adorno's books and read them. Read the books by the guy who seems to have originally put this theory forth, his name escapes me at the moment. First heard of the concept from Alan Watt. BUT there's no way around it, the theory is speculative.
