You know the term "disruptive technology" means something completely different from how the article is trying to spin it? It means a tech that has adverse effects on existing tech business. The light bulb was disruptive technology, as were the automobile, the computer, and the personal computer. The article makes good points about the way IoT devices are being done wrong , but that's not what McAdam is talking about.
