I read a study on this a while ago and technically it is burned bacon, but the same could be said of most burned meat. The burnt part creates polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and that is the carcinogen part. So just don't burn your shit and you'll be fine. Steak should be eaten rare anyway.

I mean I love meat candy myself but it probably isn't the most healthy choice

If you do a keto type of diet it has great macronutrient ratios - lots of fat and protein.

I need to look into some type of diet I'm thinking. Not to lose weight, preferably gain weight and decrease fatigue. Insomnia is real!

I cut out sugar and grains a few months ago and it has been great. I eat lots of bacon/eggs/meat/veggies.

I noticed it helped most with cutting down on inflammation and joint pain. It also helped with workout recovery. I've heard some people say it helped them with sleep quality too.

Whole grain bread no then? I cut out wheat ages ago, but oh do I love me a good sandwich. protip: convection oven = godsend for subs and baked dishes. Make some chicken pasta, throw some bacon and a light cheese on top, bake. Top with chives or your favorite accentuate spice/flavor.

I'm not super strict, but for the most part it's just meat and veggies.

Damn so omnivore really is where its at. I will attempt to meet middle ground with vegans in the future, as I always have.

These people should have talked to my great-grandparents. They ate bacon and pork products every day. My great-grandma used lard (hog fat) to fry everything she fried in, she used it to make dough for bread, biscuits and pie shells. They ate ham almost daily and used a ham hock for extra flavor when cooking beans and and greens. My great-grandfather had a hog farm so it made sense. He dropped dead while working on his farm at the age of 106. My great-grandmother died at 103.

All that pork finally killed them I guess? Bullshit!

I want some ham now.

Or maybe some spam .

No worries kids it's just like the UN no one listens any more, tho it will be open season on the first politician who tries to ban bacon.

WHO pushed H1N1 Swine Flu vaccines despite conflicts of interest: "governments that took advice from WHO are unwinding their vaccine contracts, and billions of dollars’ worth of stockpiled oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and zanamivir (Relenza)—bought from health budgets already under tight constraints—lie unused in warehouses around the world."
