I am not sure for 100% why people have flat brains. I just know it as an undeniable matter of fact. In the course of years, since when internet had a lot of independent free speech platforms, I was able to meet only a few so called free minded people. Let me explain what free minded really is. Free minded simply means loving science fiction and being intuitive. It seems like nothing exceptional, but only the combination of both these traits gives you the superhuman ability to know what can be plausible and think how it can happen. As the matter of fact, we know more or less about the world wide conspiracy and that the majority of humans are slaves with flat brains, but the problem is that there are are not many of us to do something about it. The feeling that you get is like from The Thing or They Live movies.

Most people lack imagination. That's the reality we deal with. I agree with you, nothing is better than science fiction (the book kind, not the movie kind) for stretching that imagination with multiple future scenarios. But SF has aways been a genre market, and always will be.
