Bernie himself says it doesn't matter if people just elect him and expect it to change. We all together have to fight the rich and the system they've created to screw us!

ColoradoJustice

Interesting idea, he is comically the most evil rich person anyone can think of. Hilariously always looking to put his name on buildings and treat the poor like scum.

He is certainly loosing money from all the blowback that's come from his words about Mexicans and the like. Therefore, one does have to wonder why is he doing this?

It's not profitable.

He knows he's not going to win.

Yet, he's parading out there for all to see the worse parts of the Republican party and how greed corrupts.

I do wonder what he's doing and the ulterior motives...

destinthegreat

Doubtful the seeds have been ingrained everywhere not just in presidency.

joseph177

He's wildcard used to promote the idea, any american can have a shot at presidency even with extreme (pro american) views.

Nah, Trump is just trumping his own image (or destroying it, depending on your perspective). Remember the old saying: "any publicity is good publicity."

What I think is being fudged are the numbers of supporters. I have never, ever, ever, once met someone who would vote for him - only people who mentioned that "since the USA is already a corporation and Trump knows corporate stuff, maybe he'd run the company better than someone who doesn't."

monkeytoe101

I can sympathize with that to some extent. I think it has more to do with a couple of things and isn't an outright psyop. 1) the majority of media is in fact members of and donators to the democratic party 2) Trumps antics personify what the left thinks of the right 3) it gets good clicks and ratings because his comments are so inflammatory. Put it all together and you see trump on the news as "a front runner" when in truth he has no chance in hell and ought to be laughed off the stage. He's a circus that the left leaning media has pounced on for entertainment and to vilify.

Sarcasticus

The whole presidential race is to distract the populace. Will it matter if a "democrat" or "republican" gets elected? Each party is bought and sold by the moneyed elite. Donald Trump joining the race is a pure sideshow play.

bloopton

I fucking swear can we stop with this fatalistic angsty teenage bullshit? Sure both parties are dirty, but there are significant policy and philosophical differences on both sides enough to affect the country and our lives. Grow the fuck up

Sarcasticus

Each party may have stated policy and philosophical differences. In practice, each elected president is the same. Did Obama close down Guantanamo? Stop any illegal wars? Tax the rich and bail out the middle class? Of course not - he started more illegal wars, in fact - he bailed out the bankers, kept the Bush tax cuts - same as the old boss.

OrangeKraken

This is how Trump makes his living, doing outrageous things that make no sense to keep himself in the headlines.

I don't think its any kind of conspiracy, just a rich crazy man who jerks off to his own ego. Nothing more nothing less. That said if he was some kind of psyop it wouldn't surprise me.

ColoradoJustice

His presidential run has cost him the Miss Universe Mexico, Macy's line, and much more bad publicity for this businesses.

This is a money loosing job he's running.

OrangeKraken

There is no such thing as bad press they say,

If you look at trumps history, he has failed. A lot. A few lines going down don't mean much in the end.

ColoradoJustice

I'm not sure he will recover from this bad publicity.

The Apprentice was a big money maker for him and now it's gone.

OrangeKraken

I wouldn't complain if that was the case, really at this point he is just a jester for the media and not much else.

ColoradoJustice

I'm not sure that's the case, where did you come up with that?

OrangeKraken

What do you mean?

Trumps entire purpose to to make Jeb Bush look good. We're getting a Bush/Clinton 2016 like it or not

ColoradoJustice

Trumps entire purpose to to make Jeb Bush look good. We're getting a Bush/Clinton 2016 like it or not

Yes, but Clinton trumps Bush any day, by name alone.

OrangeKraken

Either way, we lose.

MisterPrime

Donald Trump's run for the presidency is too believable for me to think there's some conspiracy behind it other than his own ambition and greed. Even though he doesn't think he can actually win, as a presidential candidate you can collect money from donors and then contribute those funds to a different candidate when you drop out in exchange for political favor.

The candidacy itself is a great publicity stunt as well. I do think he didn't expect to lose his deals with Macy's etc, so it seems like his rhetoric has backfired, but believe me, there are plenty of people out there than believe everything he was saying.

There is no better why to discredit any movement then to give a idiot who claims to support said movement a loud voice.
