Boats are made of fiberglass, and depending where you are, the quality of the worksmanship could lead to that stuff getting in the water. I would suspect that some fiberglass repairs came undone, or some ass just let it go into the ocean instead of disposing of it properly. That stuff can embed in skin in no time, itches like hell, and your body reacts quite aggressively to the irritation.

It's a good thing you got it out. You should be fine with some polysporin.

ichoosejif

It’s not fiberglass.

Pics or it didnt happen.

How do you upload pics here?

Warnos44

Imgoat upload image, then post link.

This was documented hundreds of years ago. I find it particularly odd how the medical field completely dismisses it out of hand. The Earth clinic will have a lot of help for you, I'm sure there are other sites too. If you know it just happened it is likely you can clear it up without a long process if you're strict about your approach. It's a very creepy thing, imo

ichoosejif

So creepy. Went to herbalist, she showed me what works, within 10 min of topical treatment, can see raised object under skin.

Warnos44

So glad you got help with it. Did she recommend continuing treatment for a while? I think I'd lose it if this happened to me. The only "fear" I have is of parasites, and this definitely fits the bill in a scifi horror kind of way...

GhayUniform

Its called "delusional parasitosis"

ichoosejif

I’m aware.

thisistotallynotme

I can tell you're American, because everywhere else in the world would just go to a doctor . Americans opt to "sit on it, and see if it gets worse in a week" before going.

You should be seeing a doctor.

ichoosejif

Doctors don’t recognize morgellons.

Shizy

Or much of anything else

Warnos44

Most doctors consider morgellons to be psychosomatic. They will only prescribe meds to try to solve his mental issues, not actually do anything about the problem.

ichoosejif

Her.

theoldones

pull out the fibers whatever they are

ichoosejif

Done. They didn’t go all the way in.
