It's actually more like the anti-German tactics at the end of WWI -- the Versailles diktat, etc.

Greek parliament votes Wednesday. We'll see if Greeks want to take it up the ass from the EU again. "Thank you sir. May I have another?"

HexTq

Did they not vote last week for no? Then ask cipras why he made a deal?

Delacroix

-Vote for me and we would not have to pay our credits =) Banks- LOL

HexTq

That sums up syriza

Greece is waking up after decades of poor fiscal management. Their politicians stole money rampantly for years and they voted for the fat cats that offered the most free shit. Generous pensions and free education is nice, particularly if nobody pays taxes, until you run out of money. Go ahead and blame Germany, banks, capitalism and even the rest of Europe, if it makes you feel better. Greece used Goldman Sachs to hide their debt and look better so they could continue to borrow money.

Blaming anyone else but Greece is like blaming a credit card company for the actions of a compulsive shopper that did everything in their power to hide how screwed up they really were.

This is what very few are saying. And it's sad for the people that are living it, and to an extent I feel sorry for them. But we (the rest of the world), need to take a long hard look at this situation and try to learn from it.

I know it probably won't happen. It never does. Maybe one day.

RedHawk

Syriza has screwed the Greek people, the only way out of this is that they get out of the EU. Stop being slaves to the bankers.

Delacroix

Getting butthurt because they didn't cut half their debt?

Wars of today aren't fought on the battlefield, they're fought through economic control. Greece is in a bad situation, they're heavily indebted and now even more-so. I never understood the logic of getting into more debt to pay off debt, it just continues the cycle. It's like paying off a credit card, by applying for another credit card with insanely ridiculous terms and controls to pay off the initial credit card. You might pay off the first debt, but then you have another debt you have to pay.

The people of Greece voted against further austerity, sure things would have been hard for a while, but as Iceland has shown, things can get better if you keep trying and break free from the shackles of the conventional slave-based monetary system. This is just going to create chaos, riots and all kinds of other things as a result. This is what other European nations want, to destabilise and control Greece by putting it into a pair of vice grips until it pops.

Fuck'em if they can't take a joke.
