Is there a flaw in Voat code were a post can be deleted but still appear to the OP user to be there? ( conspiracy )

I tested this to a degree on v/news with this post:

The reason I selected this video is it has nearly 1 million views and the unloader left comments activated, the results are hilarious, as the "NSA" virtually 'give themselves away'

The standard response varying from unintelligible, to 'plastic bag'

So a similar yet 'toned down' effect occurred here on Voat however I can NOT find this post on the 'hot' or 'new' section of the site anywhere?

If so this is a huge flaw.

  • there should be a notification to the OP if a posted is deleted

  • there shoukd be some indication of where the post currently is page etc sub etc. This should be displayed to the OP or right in the post publicly.

Was the post interrupted by the botnet check, or was it deleted after successfully posting it?

Well if you see it has a lot of shill responses and a few real responses, also 26 up votes.

It could be the case that it was just deleted, but the problem is of course there is no notification etc.

I've already lost a post today to the botnet attack.

If you hit the back arrow you can sometimes navigate back to the form, as it was before it's sent, so you'll still (maybe) have a draft. Just keep in mind that a successful post will always end with you looking at your new post.
