sinkingfeeling

In agreement with the point of this article, is not quite as simple as "teach them logic, their minds will open up." There must be a multi-faceted approach to a different way to educate, including Natural Law, Logic, Debate, Critical Thinking and other things that result in a sharp mind.

I know too many people who can't grow anything, not even a damn cactus, because they are out of touch with nature. There are too many who have a 'me-first and no one else matters' attitude, and who see nothing wrong with that mentality. Family and faith do not enter into the equation, and they can't even discuss it or anything relating to a different opinion because they can't think logically about their own opinions nor debate reasonably without resorting to name calling and issuing platitudes. The lack of these skills undermines a just society and is the result of the environment stated in the article.
