For public figures such as actresses, changing their look is a way of appearing fresh and new, and of attracting attention. Look at that clown, Madonna, or that other clown, Lady Gaga. Every time you saw them in public they had a different look. There are only so many things a woman can do, and cutting her hair is one of them. It's shallow behavior, but then, they are very shallow human beings.
