so you got a source or proof of this? Or are you just trying to give this person a bad rep?

I think that something far more vast is taking place and reddit itself is being set up as a staging ground. I saw a post here on voat the other day titled something about why reddit should be burned to the ground, the content of that post was atwitter link suggesting reddit is throwing in with the socialist Bernie Sanders,America as a whole would never accept socialism it has to be convinced and where else better to stage a quiet coup than the voice and front page of the internet?

Tinfoil hat stuff here but it makes sense, then this, submitted by u/spez in announcements

Neither Alexis nor I created reddit to be a bastion of free speech, but rather as a place where open and honest discussion can happen: These are very complicated issues, and we are putting a lot of thought into it. It’s something we’ve been thinking about for quite some time. We haven’t had the tools to enforce policy, but now we’re building those tools and reevaluating our policy.

they are openly stating that free speech is going to be limited,so anything that comes across as questionable or questioning can be deemed unacceptable by their new tools.I believe something far more sinister is at play here than the future of just one website, one that has a vast, vast user base and great influence over other websites like facebook and twitter, one that makes international news.I think this is going to play out badly and a lot of people are going follow blindly along because it's going to be made to look viral and trendy.

As much as I hate to say this on /v/conspiracy , I don't think Reddit id DDOSing voat. I do however think that there is such a large influx of users coming from Reddit that is an issue. I do believe there is A DDDOS going on, but I don't know if its 100% a DDOS at fault for Voat's downtime.

Again, yes, I do believe they are experiencing mild DDOS attacks, but the guy who runs Voat is just some guy from college with little experience and we just hit his website HARD with new users, lots more content, and media attention. I believe soon enough he'll have fixed up some of the code and issues (a ton of changes were made already, thank god for open source).

I really hate to be on the other end of a conspiracy on this one, but I just don't see it. DDOS attacks are super easy to pull off, and you only need a small botnet to take a website with such little funding as Voat down. Don't worry, it'll improve with time.

He is they guy responsible for firing /u/chooter and letting Pao take the flak for it.
