I don't think there is any NWO conspiracy here. It's a Canadian fire department probably thinking they're doing the right thing. Having looked at those pictures, the place is creepy as heck and looks really dated and dirty (that decontamination area). While he might have had a professional build it for him, given its age, can claims of it being structurally sound still be made? Are frequent inspections performed to ensure the bunker is safe? Are there safeguards in place if there is a collapse or if there is a fire? If so, then this guy will be fine.

But if this was built 35 years ago and not inspected or maintained much since, then of course people will be concerned. Bring an expert in, get them to look over it and certify it and then use that as your defence. If it were the Canadian government trying to shut the bunker down, then yeah, I might believe there could be some anti-prepper conspiracy here, but it's the fire department, not the government.

You nailed it. There is no conspiracy here, it's just a safety thing.

Although, I do agree that they should have no say over it as it's on private property. The only time they can throw their authority around is if they think there is a risk to nearby residence.

"it's just a safety thing".

I don't have a right to do what I want on my property without government oversight now? Has daddy gubmint been treating you well to hold him in such high regard?

Seems you are ignoring the fact that this guy will be holding a summit in the bunker. The fire department are simply worried that it might not be safe. If anything happens in the bunker, like a fire or they're trapped, who are the first responders going to be? The fire department. Get off your conspiracy horse. Nobody cares a guy built a private bunker, it probably wouldn't survive a disaster anyway. The concern seems to stem from the fact this guy will be inviting other people.

The simple solution to this is for the damn guy to get an expert in to inspect it and give it the all okay. I guarantee the fire department won't bother him if it is certified as structurally sound and there is a plan in place in-case of an emergency like a fire.

I mean, if they can't survive a little government malfeasance how are they gonna hold out during an apocalypse?

OrangeKraken

Amazing that people can come onto your property to weld your doors shut and their is nothing you can do about it.

Seriously the fire department can fuck right off in this situation. People involved are fully aware of the "risks" of a fire going on in an inclosed space. Why does the government need to come bubble warp our own property?

Wouldn't surprise me if there was an agenda behind the attempted shut down.

ItsSwiftty023

Yeah there probably is a bigger picture behind all of this. i wonder what that is...

imvii

It is probably frighteningly unsafe to house more than a couple people. If a fire breaks out, everyone dies.

LostnTired

So is the apocalypse in which they're building this for ;)

samtrovaum

I'm sure that was considered. Fire safety is basic.
