Connor is very well informed in regards to what Islam is doing to Europe. Ireland was slower to get ass fucked than the UK and the EU but it's happening there now too. Conor is a great fighter but once he stopped being able to make 145, that took away a lot of his advantage. He's still very good at 155 but I think he knew Khabib was a horrible matchup for him, which is another reason why he pushed so hard for the Mayweather fight. He wanted to get that big money fight before he was beaten again, especially by someone against whom he is highly unlikely to ever avenge that loss against. I also feel Mcgregor probably went out and partied too hard after that Mayweather money he got. As Dana says "nothing kills a fighter faster than partying." Not only that but money.. He's rich as fuck. It makes a lot of people soft.

I would like to see McGregor get back into the game and rematch Aldo, end the trilogy with Diaz and then maybe if Khabib falls off or loses he could circle back when the time is right and get revenge but that is all unlikely as people who make as much as he makes fighting never do it on a regular basis. They pretty much go into semi-retirement and take a big money fight every 9 months.

I can't get behind Khabib because a lot of this stuff. I don't care about the brawl or whatever and he's a great fighter but this kind of shit he's involved in and excuses, it's tough to side with that. I don't hate him, just makes me less excited to watching him, takes a lot of shine off of his greatness. Speaking of that, we'll see how long Khabib can stay on top. It's one thing to be undefeated fighting lower level guys but another to get the title and keep it and defend it several times. If he can do that, regardless whom he associates with and what they do, he'll prove he's one of the best. He's still 4 or 5 fights away from that in my eyes though.
