I just read that. Nanoparticles activated by Ai or a person who has control over them? So how do they work with no power source? These would have to be smaller than sand to inhale and youre telling me these nanites have electronics in them tht can be activated remotely? Sounds like a fairy tale to me

WhyNoDonuts

They're small enough to feed off of special wavelengths of radiation nearby, and some may have photoreceptors for powering with light. These aren't crawly Borg-type nanites yet, they don't move but they can detect movement nearby and coordinate audio recording. Flies oon the wall...for now.

I don't think he meant dust in the literal sense. Probably more along the lines of what intel managment engine and the like are. Basically a spec of dust that is a whole computer on your cpu. All we know it was disabled on high security NSA computers but, it's good enough for everyone else. Probably similar things in every cell phone, radio, car, and anything and everything that has a data steam.

WhyNoDonuts

He was referring to "smart dust"", these primitive surveillance specks that exist these days. What you're referring to exists in most devices but it's part of the CPU or wifi modem assembly.
