I just quickly checked the front pages of all the subs I listed. If it was buried deeper then I would not have seen it.

We have this in /v/canada : Premier Rachel Notley downplays oil price concerns after Iran nuclear deal | Toronto Star

The article seems more focused on oil prices than the actual deal itself. Would you explain to me why it's a big deal?

Never mind the other multitude of things that should be splattered all over the news. The escalating wars, the separation of wealth, the record poverty, any updates on the collapsing China stock market, any updates on the collapsing of Greece, hell, there could be TONS of important and vital news posted everywhere!

But no, that would cause people to think freely. Can't allow that, MOAR MEMES!

A_Scanner_Darkly

the collapsing China stock market

Although it has dropped sharply recently the SHCOMP(Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index) is still up 18.74% YTD. Pretty impressive when you compare that to SPX(SP 500 Index) is only up 3.48% YTD.

I'd like to be very clear that we should be discussing these things.

With that said, china has had a bubble that has been forming for a year, and everyone knew that it was gonna pop eventually. Otherwise the US wouldn't have pulled to plug on the NYSE within a few moments of china's free fall.

Furthermore greece is not collapsing (they were just playing chicken with their bankers). We have greater debt per-capita in the US, it's just lucky that our govt is "too big to fail" according to the banks. My how the tables have flipped.

My point is, there are things going on WITHIN the US that we should probably be looking at right now, that do relate to geopolitics, just not directly.

All those dominoes you speak of are hitting other dominoes too, just don't forget that.

And there have been some very big dominoes falling.

deathcomesilent

Absolutely agree!

But you see why people aren't talking about these things in this sub. I guess that was my main point.

Kabuthunk

It seems everywhere , people refuse to acknowledge that fact. It's like they know it's bad, but are too terrified of it to want to speak of such things.

I dunno, rather than be scared, maybe those types should try doing something about it then. The only one that can help them is themselves.

But...the memes be dank as hell!

WE MUST REMOVE EVERY INSTANCE OF THE CONFEDERATE FLAG AND EVERY STATUE OF ANYONE THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITHT HE CONFEDERACY! NOW!

Tleilaxu_Ghola

If only someone would wipe their ass with that flag as a form of protest....I would rush to get it posted on /v/news as fast as I could.

COUSCOUS

I just had a look, it appears you are correct. Lots of posts saying how evil and ancient german bookkeeper is though.

Between /v/news /r/news /v/worldnews /r/worldnews /v/conspiracy /r/conspiracy front pages only /v/worldnews has any submissions discussing the breakthrough nuclear deal. Amazing that a historic chance at a peaceful diplomatic solution instead of war and bombing is generating barely a peep anywhere except on Voat.

It appears watching the MSM coverage that the Zionist media is not happy about this. It appears that only critics of the deal are getting a voice. MSM is spinning it pretty negatively.
